I am applying for the Solution Architect role in Application Services. In my current role I contribute to solution development in mission critical systems, balancing secure engineering, governance and practical delivery. I enjoy working in our IST division which delivers systems that support reliable grid operations across Aotearoa and this is where my skills are strongest.
Across DSM I provided sustained technical and development leadership through Phases 2, 3 and 4 over approximately 2.5 years. I prepared the Solution Options Governance Pack for the DSM Refresh and supported ARB endorsement. I designed and delivered the OPC to Kafka bridge which eliminated XML DA dependencies and reduced related errors from 8,677 to zero.
I contributed to the Secure Software Engineering uplift including SAST and SCA evaluations, RFIs, demos and SODA documentation in collaboration with Chris Schultz, and I have recently taken over implementation responsibilities. For DSM Field Mobility I provided high level estimations, supported Proofs of Concept and contributed to solution options, working alongside Sethu with my technical inputs.
I work closely with NGOC, the Security team, the Environments team and Datacom to ensure design decisions are grounded in operational reality, secure by design and supportable. I am comfortable operating within Transpower governance models including ARB reviews, exemptions where needed and alignment with enterprise strategies and reference architectures.
I support DevSecOps automation across CI, logging and monitoring and operations, and I enjoy mentoring and documenting decisions so delivery teams have clarity. I hold AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate and I am keen to contribute to portfolio planning, roadmaps and reusable frameworks within Application Services.
